Overview

The BL-303 is a contribution synth dedicated to the legendary Roland TB-303 with a big love.Originally created for the KVR Developer Challenge 2016 competition.

Version 2.0 includes a cleaner user interface, better sound, and closer behavior to the original TB-303.The slide now slides to the next note and the filter envelope is no longer retriggered.When the accent sounds are continuous, the amount of accent is increased.

The sequencer part (including slides and accents) is now processed with the velocity of midi notes.

Make the note a little shorter so that it ends shortly before the next note (like a TB).

· Use velocity to control accents and glide.

The 303 was originally created in the early 80's as a substitute for bass guitarists.However, that goal was not achieved and disappeared from the store two years later. When house and techno became popular in the late 2's, the device was rediscovered and made famous for its unique acid wobble sound.

Installation

When you unzip the downloaded file, there are Mac and Win folders inside, and files in each format are stored.

In the case of Win, it is VST2, so if you put it in Path, the installation is completed.

Path is different for each person.

Summary

I think that it is quite good among the free sound sources of 303 series.

It goes well with distortion and is not bad for usability.

When I was using FL Studio and playing with Resonace with Cutoff automated, FL Studio sometimes freezes, but when I enable "Use fixed size buffers", it no longer freezes.
