Today I would like to introduce a plug-in that can correct the pitch of vocals.

Mr. Liuanlin-mx, the developer, I learned about it for the first time.

However, this plugin itself has released v2021 in 1, and it seems that it is not a new developer.

It's hard to believe it's free, and it's amazing.

It is a level of conviction even if it is sold for about 50 dollars at a sale at a regular price of 25 dollars.

I think that the only free pitch correction plug-ins were automatic correction or correction by specifying a MIDI note.
(I think the number of patterns that come with your DAW has increased significantly)

However, "MXTune" introduced this time can perform graphical pitch correction.

There are a lot of things you can do, and the three main things you can do are:

Key detection

Key detection plays the vocal once and records the pitch.

Check "Track" in the upper right corner.

Play in this state for a while.

If you do not record to some extent, the correct Key cannot be detected.

Then click "Detect".

Then the Key will be suggested, so if you click OK as it is, the Key will be applied.

I played it in advance and made a video of how to do it with a Pitch record.

Auto pitch correction

It is assumed that the Key is set.

Click "AutoTune" on the upper left to perform automatic pitch correction.

There are two parameters, "Smooth" and "Amount".

If "Smooth" is large, pitch correction will be gradual, and if it is small, it will sound like Kerokero voice.

"Amount" is the applied amount.

It is assumed that you have already recorded the pitch.

If you drag the scale you want to specify, the pitch will be corrected to that scale.

It is also possible to make corrections according to the key as a whole.

Just click "Snap Key".

With this, the Pitch can correct the sweet scale.

Installation

Since it is only VST2 version, the installation folder is slightly different depending on the person.

Put the extracted "mx_tune.dll" into your VST2 folder.

Most VST2 folders are one of the following:

Summary

It's amazing how powerful and free it is.

Even though pitch correction is free, it's rare, but I don't think there are any other free plug-ins that even have a graphical pitch correction function.
