Overview of OB-Xd
OB-Xd is based on Oberheim OB-X.While trying to reproduce the sound and behavior, the original was so limited in some important ways that many things were added or modified from the original design.
The OB-Xd is designed to deliver the same excellent and rich sound as the original.It implements the microrandom detuning that is the majority of its sound.However, it is not designed as a self-contained, completely independent soft synth.Transposition, automation, hierarchization, arpegulation, etc. must be included within the available VST framework.
Also, like many OB-X generation synths, OB-Xd has no internal effects, so you can significantly enhance your sound and texture with additional processing such as chorus, reverb, and delay.
How to get free presets for OB-Xd
OB-Xd comes with 20 banks 600 presets from the beginning.
Right-click to switch between skins and banks.
Others can be downloaded from KVR.
How to add OB-Xd presets
The folder that stores the presets is difficult to understand.
