It was used in rockabilly and rock'n'roll in the 50's and 60's.
You can hear it in Elvis Presley's song "Mystery Train."

I've been talking about slap delay so far, but if you use this plug delay with 0, you can get a nice dead reverb.
Lowpass and highpass are also installed, so it is convenient to avoid kicks and harsh high notes.

Download
