Overview
Drum8 is a free drum plug-in (sample-based ROMpler) for DAWs and other plug-in host software running on Windows and macOS.
Drum8 was developed in collaboration with audiolatry (software development) and Cool WAV (sound design). A total of 40 kits of various music genres such as Hip Hop, Trap, Pop, Lo-fi, EDM, etc. are installed.It has a total of 320 sounds such as kick, snare, clap, tom, hi-hat (closed & open), percussion, cymbal, and FX.
The compact and easy-to-use interface consists of global controls (gain, low-pass filter, room reverb), individual control for each sample (gain, attack, pan, stereo channel output), and an 8-pad configuration.It is convenient for the sample to be mapped from C1 to G1.
As mentioned above, all samples were designed by a friend of Cool WAV.Most of the samples were created by connecting two analog drum machines to the Radial JDI Direct Box, Warm Audio ToneBeast Black, and Antelope Audio Discrete 2 Synergy Core audio interface.The acoustic drum kit used drum modeling software and a ton of effect plug-ins.
Drum8 is provided as a VST / VST3 plugin for Windows and a VST / VST3 / AU plugin for macOS (not compatible with El Capitan to Mojave, Catalina and above).
