Personally, I thought that the ARP function of the 16 emu "Phoscyon303" of "D2" was the best and it would not surpass it.
However, "Acid V" has an ARP function.
(Arturia usually implements things that are close to the actual machine, so I think he was greatly influenced by "Phoscyon2" this time.)
In addition, "Phoscyon2" is equipped with 3 modulators that are not installed, and 17 types of effects are also strong points.

When I compared the sound of "Phoscyon2" and "Acid V", I felt that "Acid V" was thicker and more glossy.
As expected of Arturia.
However, this is a matter of taste, and "Phoscyon2" has a dry sound, which can be used with this, and "Acid V" does not have a sound.
The strengths are also the weaknesses, so depending on how you perceive the thick and shiny sound, some people may feel that the sound is sluggish and damp.

Built-in effects
You can use 5 effects from 4 categories at the same time.
The effects of existing Arturia products such as "Tape Echo" and "Chorus JUN-6" are installed.
The quality of the effect is very high and it is a cheat level.
I tried multiplying "Multiband" and "Tape Echo".
"Multiband" is the so-called OTT.
Play method
Equipped with two play methods, SEQ mode that sounds with the internal sequencer, and ARP mode that inputs chords and sounds like an arpeggio.
SEQ mode
The sounds of the 303 are characterized by "Slide", "Accent", and "Octave".
Since it is difficult to type in the piano roll, many 303 series sound sources are equipped with their own sequencer.
"Acid V" is also equipped with a sequencer (SEQ mode) without exception.
"SEQ mode" sounds along the sequence with MIDI note input as the root.
The video below shows C4 (C2 for other DAWs) playing only one note.
A randomize mode is also included to match the scale.

ARP mode
I think that it is almost the same as the one installed in "Phoscyon2".
When you enter the code, the sound will follow the Slide, Accent, and Octave set in ARP mode.
It is a wonderful method that overcomes the weaknesses of the piano roll and allows you to easily apply atticulations such as Slide.
