How to solve the Most likely .. error when starting Serum
I'm yosi, the maintainer of Chillout with Beats.
This article explains how to solve the error "Most likely the folder has moved since installation. Either re-install…" when installing Serum.
On twitter@ mochiya00Has written this solution, and it seems that questions often come in DM etc.
I often get inquiries via RT, fav, and DM about the solution to the problem that Serum cannot be installed properly, so I will write down the cause and solution again. It's also troublesome to be asked again, so please pick up a DTM blog or someone and post it. https://t.co/H9JOlZuZzT

That's why I've covered the solution in this blog.
(Of course, we have the permission of the person)
As a result of various investigations, the following method was the easiest.
I will explain the cause and the solution with figures.
Cause of error
The cause seems to be that the Japanese folder name is garbled and cannot be recognized by Serum.
I made a Japanese user and tried it.
Certainly I got a similar error.
Occurs when a Japanese folder other than the Japanese user name is higher than "Serum Presets".
Solution
Move (cut and paste) "Serum Presets" to another location where Japanese is not used.
(If there is another external HDD etc., it is OK there as well)
The condition is that Japanese is not included in Path.
If you get the following error in use, you can move it by logging off or restarting.
After moving, start Serum.
The following message will be displayed and a dialog will open. Specify the "Serum Presets" folder.
This will launch Serum safely.
In my environment, the following error was displayed, but I was able to open it, so I think you don't have to worry about it. (It will not be displayed at the next startup)
I confirmed that it is possible to read the file that actually caused the error.
Did you solve it?
Thank you for providing the information.@ mochiya00SanReleased a lot of douujin musicPlease take a look.
