Tracktion's Dawesome Abyss is on sale.

It is no exaggeration to say that this sound source is exclusively for ambient sounds.

Sound demo

I tried playing the preset with one note.

The editing method is interesting and the GUI is reminiscent of XO.

You can easily create an infinite variety of tones that change over time.

Playbeat 3If you apply reverb along with this, it will look like this.

Overview

visual synthesizer
Abyss is a unique, pixie-dust visual synthesizer.Bringing dark, vibrating drones, vibrant cinematic pads, and rich textures. Abyss gives you instant inspiration for your music and sound design projects.

A nuanced instrument

The tone-color approach allows you to easily create complex sounds. It also features a simple and powerful modulation system.Tweak, mangle, and modulate your sounds to go crazy or create sensual, nuanced MPE instruments.

tone color

Whether we're describing sounds or colors, we use similar words like warm, cold, dark, soft, and energetic. This is not a coincidence, it is called tonal color. In Abyss, different sounds are represented by different colors, a whole new way to design your sounds.

Rich and deep sound

Abyss' sound engine combines the rich, deep textures of natural sounds with the effective flexibility of classical synths.Of course, there's a virtual analog filter, but there are also controls to shape the tone in unprecedented ways.Explore the possibilities of fresh sounds.

surf the sound

Navigating through a list of oddly named sounds isn't always fun. In Abyss, just surf the panel with over 2000 tonal colors.Find your sound faster.

tone color gradation

Variation is what makes a sound interesting.By arranging the tone colors on a gradation, you can create variations in the tones that serve as the base of the patch. With Abyss, whether you're a preset-based user or a seasoned sound designer, you can follow your instincts and create your own sounds.

Abyss design team

The Abyss synthesizer was developed by mathematician and musician Peter V.He believes that music can be found in everything and that drawing inspiration from visual art can be helpful in songwriting and sound design.

Peter is an artificial intelligence veteran who founded his first startup 20 years ago.Recent advances in the field convinced him that there was great opportunity in applying machine learning to sound design. After quitting his day job, it took nearly two years of research and dozens of prototypes to develop Abyss' innovative sound engine and user interface. He aims to create a new generation of tools that are exciting and a joy to use, allowing you to discover interesting new sonic possibilities.
