Overview

The Magic of Tube Biasing
The Bias knob controls the amount of current in the tube.
- At low currents, the tube will be under-biased, making the sound faint and fragile.
- At medium current settings, Sculptube distortion is minimal and this setting is common for warming the sound.
- At high currents, the tubes are supercharged and the sound is very thick, harmonious and rich.
3 types of tube configuration
There are three settings for the type of distortion.
- Program 0 (Triode) produces the musical effects typical of triode valves and is well suited to warm the sound with very rich second harmonic distortion.
- Program 1 (Pentode) creates a pentode distortion that emphasizes odd harmonics, preserving the characteristics of the valve and achieving a more aggressive sound.
