Comp LA extends the capabilities of the original hardware to combine the flexibility of the digital world with the sound character of analog processing.
Realize two models with one plugin
You can choose between 2A (Tube) mode, which has a harmonic and rich tone, and 3A (Solid State) mode, which has a fast attack time and a transparent tone.
Harmonic control
You can control the amount of harmonics generated.You can increase or decrease the content compared to the original behavior and monitor the amount with a meter.
Midside & Parallel
You can compress the mono (mid) and stereo (side) of a track separately or enable parallel compression without using an external bus or MS matrix.
2A uses a vacuum tube for illumination, and 3A uses a transistor.Since the vacuum tube can supply less current than the transistor, the response to the attack transient is soft, and a slight distortion occurs, so there are many overtones.
Opt attenuator and dual stage release
At the heart of the original unit is a photocell and opt attenuator, which the Comp LA plug-in faithfully reproduces.
The natural dual-stage release of the photocell provides a very distinctive compression response that is more transparent than other compressors.
