Overview
The first version of Taurus quickly became popular in the mid-70s with its distinctive oscillator detune and unique-sounding sawtooth wave. The Moog Rogue-based Taurus II wasn't very popular, despite the significant additions to its features.
Launched 35 years after the first version, the third version recreates much of the glory of the original design and adds some contemporary features. Syntronik represents all three versions of Taurus.
A slow sweep lowpass filter with little resonance is a characteristic sound of Taurus with a heavy low end.Famous users were Rush, Yes, Genesis, U2 and Police.
