Introducing the recently released Audio Modern Gatelab.

In short, is it easy to convey the evolution of the Trance Gate that I did for a while?

You can control the divided volume like a step sequencer.

This article will be sent with the following contents.

AudioModern Gatelab Overview and Downloads

Overview

Gatelab is a Creative Gate Sequencer, Volume Modulation Generator and Beyond.

You can choose from a variety of randomization modes, density values, flow or gate modes, and built-in presets.

Gatelab randomizes unique combinations of parameters to provide ever-evolving patterns and endless rhythmic effects.

Download

You can download it from two places, official and Plugin Boutique.

If you have a Plugin Boutique account, Plugin Boutique is better because you need an account to download from the official.

Rough usage explanation

Since there are quite a lot of functions, I will explain only the parts that are likely to be used in the main.

Chordjam users have similar functions, so I think it's quick to understand.

Mode selection

Gatelab has two modes.

Flow (volume modulation mode) and Gate (gate sequencer mode).

The difference is that the volume can be adjusted with the slider in "Flow", while the slider is only On / Off in "Gate".

Please watch the video.

Use presets

You don't know where the presets are at a glance.

You can select a preset by clicking the red frame in the figure below.

I prepared a video.

Randomize

For randomize, the slider will be randomized each time you click the green circle in ①.

② can be selected from simple, normal, and complex from the left by selecting the randomize mode.

If you increase the number in the red frame in the figure below, you can add the density to the randomization element.

It's hard to understand, so I prepared a video.

Summary

I have the impression that the gate and volume randomization are not very effective.

It's free, so I'm grateful that it has features, so I can't say luxury.

It seems that it also has a MIDI out function, but I couldn't get MIDI out even after trying various things.

The MIDI out feature of VST3 did not work in FL Studio.

If it was VST2, it could be used without any problem.
