I bought this because I like sequencers like this.
Since it is a sequencer, the MIDI output is sent to another sound source.

Harmonic Table The Harmonic Table Note Layout or Tonal Arrangement puts all the notes of the major and minor chords at your fingertips.It's highly visual, easy to use, and provides the most creative interface for melody composition.
Emitter patterns are driven by emitters.Each emitter generates up to six “active nodes” that traverse the harmonic table in a straight line.Cells containing active nodes are highlighted.Place one or more emitters on the table and define the number and direction of active nodes for each.As the active node moves across the table, it interacts with other tool types to trigger notes, switch directions, and configure generation patterns.
MIDI Notes: Each hexagonal cell represents a note that can be selected to form part of a MIDI pattern.When the active node enters the selected cell, the displayed note will be triggered. In Hexcel's note layout, the higher the octave, the higher the octave, and the lower the octave, the lower the octave. Hexcel comes with a handy music theory reference with visual guides for scales and chords.
An active node that collides with Reverse will start moving in the opposite direction.
Redirect: Nodes hit by a Redirect will move in a random direction. A button on the outer edge of Redirect allows you to select a random direction.
