Phrasebox

Phrase arpeggiator for creating expressive sequences from MIDI chords

You can create expressive melodic lines and musical phrases from simple chord sequences.Design a phrase in the piano roll and Phrasebox will play that pattern with the notes you enter.

You are in control of how the phrase is played.You can select notes by pitch or use special selectors such as loudest/softest, first played/last played.Your phrase will be played with exact timing to the sample.

DAW-like controls

Unlike traditional step sequencers and arpeggiators, Phrasebox gives you full control over the timing and length of your notes, much like a DAW.Alongside the velocity controls, you can also adjust the transposition of each note, and choose the random chance the note will play.

If your transpose is between scale notes, you can enable the Lock To Key feature to ensure your riff is always in tune.

Details

Phrasebox is a phrase arpeggiator that gives you unprecedented control over your playback. The DAW-like piano roll makes it possible to create richly expressive layered melodies that are not limited by timing or length compared to conventional step arpeggiators.

The notes in the piano roll correspond to pitch order, and you can use "special" notes (such as the loudest and quietest tones) to control exactly what notes you want to play.There's also an option to lock transposed notes to key so they don't fall out of key, and you can use the included controller window to send MIDI CC data to your instrument.
