Audio Damage's Axon 2 is on sale individually.

Axon 2 isn't a universal plug-in, but if you like techno (especially IDM), check it out.

It's difficult to use, but it makes a great sound.

I tried playing the preset.

I added a riff and a bass.
(Since there is no internal LFO, the parameters are automated.)

Overview

Axon 2 is an artificial intelligence-powered drum synth. (The experimental instrument, Axon, uses a modified artificial neural network as a sequencer and has seven FM-based percussion voices, but is actually one 7-operator FM voice.

If this sounds strange, you haven't seen anything yet.Once you get the hang of it, it's surprisingly intuitive, allowing you to repeat entirely new and complex rhythms in amazing ways.Often referred to as a "random sequence generator," Axon has no randomness and is completely determined.

The sequencer has seven "neurons" that trigger speech and send pulses when a given number of pulses are received. The output of any neuron can be connected to the input of another neuron (with built-in loop detection to prevent runaway) and the artificial neural network can be pre-programmed without going through the "learning" stage. I can do it.

Each of the seven drum voices is triggered by a neuron and consists of a two-operator FM voice that is optimally configured for percussion sounds, and additional FM and AM buses that all voices send and receive. Each voice is equipped with an HPF, a distortion circuit, and a white noise generator, providing individual percussion-specific full-range voicing and interacting with each other in new and unique ways.

  • Equipped with an Artificial Neural Network sequencer with 7 neurons, it can be easily programmed to create new repetitive rhythms.

  • The seven FM percussion voices can also be connected by bus to create one monolithic and complex percussion synthesizer.

  • Equipped with a full mixer with pan, level, mute, and solo for each voice.

  • Built-in stereo delay with feedback and filter frequency control with X / Y pads.

  • MIDI input / output for driving Axons from DAWs and hardware sequencers, and driving drum racks and other samples from Axons.

  • Internal transport for asynchronous playback

  • Resizable vector-based user interface

  • Reciprocating dingle arm drawn to reduce sine wave attenuation

  • XML-based cross-platform, human-readable preset system, and copy / paste make it easy to transfer your own or third-party presets.
