SOUND

KLANG distributes quite a lot of free Kontakt sound sources.

Debussy Freeze

2019 10 09 01x03 07

"Debussy Freeze"-October clan. How does it sound when sitting in a concert hall listening to an orchestra during a freezing time?So Jumpel took one of Claude Debussy's orchestral recordings and extended it for a few hours. The result is two different sounds that allow you to play beautiful trance patterns.

Krautrock Machine

2019 10 11 04x07 21

The "Krautrock Machine" -Cologne and Düsseldorf-can be considered the center of German krautrock music. So Jumpel, as a software company in Cologne, thought that he should make an instrument to celebrate this great musical heritage of the city of Cologne. So we start the KLANG instrument series with Krautrock instruments. This is a small drum computer that seeks to capture the old and exciting spirit of Kraftwerk, Can, NEU.

Neon Tube Buzz

2019 10 11 04x10 52

Neon Tube Buzz-It's always amazing how a musically ordinary electronic home object sounds. But it depends on the context. For example, the sound of a neon lamp makes you feel relaxed. That's why Jumpel recorded neon lamp hums and buzz in the basement of the tool, applied filters, edited them, and combined them with other sounds. And that is the deep pad.

Hammered Violin

2019 10 11 04x12 03

Hammered Violin-The recording room is full of xylophone mallets and old broken piano hammers.Ege wanted to create another type of violin sound, so he asked himself what would happen if he played the violin with a piano hammer or xylophone instead of a typical bow.So we have a unique violin sound. In addition, I programmed the sequencer so that I could easily play rhythmic patterns the way I wanted.

Cloud Harmonics

2019 10 11 04x12 39

Cloud Harmonics-The idea behind this instrument is an attempt to achieve freezing of the sound played. This is made possible by a series of delays that can give infinite feedback. With additional lowpass filters and volume controls, you can edit this created loop to make it look like the best cloud to accompany a particular Gutal harmonics sound (including reverse sounds).

Echolette Choir

2019 10 11 04x13 22

Echolette Choir-You can get the sound out of your old Tube Tape Delay. This should be urgently sent to the service, which was not really intended. So Jonas sent various sources over an old tape delay, turned the feedback knobs crazy, made the machine sing with self-vibration, and captured a few moments. Now you can hear the distortion of the old tube, which is wonderfully warm and organic.

Unstable Guitar

2019 10 11 04x14 34

Unstable Guitar-It's amazing to see what the possibilities are offered by today's Guitar Pedal FX.Switch through some exciting fx pedals in quick succession, play some notes and you're already in direct contact with another world. So Rene took his Jazzmaster, connected different pedals, played together and recorded three great guitar pads. Each pad has a separate volume control for mixing sounds. You can use the optional distortion and the so-called "Run" button. This will automatically change the volume values for all three parameters. All of this makes a great instrument with an organic texture.

Wave Factory

Wavesfactory has a large number of unique and high quality free sound sources available for download.

Felt Instruments

Slow

Some people say that when you slow down a bit, everything tastes better. This patch was created using a technique that records the original material on tape and plays it at half speed.

result? The attack is softened and the sustain is extended. The sound is darker, dustier and wobble. The slower the playback, the more pronounced the effect.
This unique sample set includes a half-speed version of the surprisingly soft Sustain featured in the fragile piano library Lekko. When printed on a worn tape using a recorded Uher portable tape, this beautiful, slightly lo-fi sound gives the piece a great texture.

And best of all, it's free.no strings attached.

World Colors Clar-Duduk

Welcome to the first "color" entry "Clar-Duduk". Layers for Air Piano

2019 10 11 05x14 18

The other day, I was so excited about the Air Piano and all the mics and possible perspectives that I decided to combine the Layer Engine with its sound.

This engine wasn't designed for plucked / percussive instruments, but while playing with different mics and mixes, try what happens if the layer engine selects all the notes Speed, Distance , Microphone / mix based on dynamics ... While performing some variations (a function to perform "periodic sound variations according to tempo").

So this isn't the piano I recorded, but I think it's an interesting addition to the Air Piano. Layers for Air Piano (LAP) includes two instruments based on the Air Piano sample, a layered piano and a layered pad made with the same sound reminiscent of Korean stringed instruments.

caveat:
To use Air Piano layers, you need the original Air Piano sample.
https://www.pianobook.co.uk/library/air-piano

When you open these two devices for the first time, Kontakt will ask you for the location of the sample. Just point to the Air Piano folder and save your instrument.

Check the included README.txt for instructions and details.

English Classic

2019 10 11 05x16 46

The last time I played an acoustic piano at home was when I was eight, when I came to the end of the first year of piano lessons.Unfortunately, a few years later the piano was left to collect dust in the corner of the lounge before it was abruptly removed, as the guitar was calling me by this time.Alas, young people are wasted by young people. If I was particular about it, the situation might have been different, but after just 8 years, I'm happy to say that I once again longed for the sound of a "real" piano.

Many trolls via the Interweb eventually faced my destiny. Pianos of the late 1970s, many attributed to Danemann, one of the UK's leading piano makers. They played a sturdy, sweet piano designed to withstand a nuclear explosion.Because they were destined to live a tough life, like a school piano!Imagine the life they should have had, but at least this one is now being rescued and incorporated into a virtual instrument.

Recorded via a UA Apollo Twin with 1073 preamp emulation, without EQ on both mics. The mic was a neumann tlm 102 with warm audio 47 jnr recorded on Logic pro x.

Just tuned in, I love the piano and the house is resonating with sounds that only acoustic pianos can make. Thanks to Christians for providing templates and videos to make it as easy as possible to sample a piano.Enjoy the sound of this piano from one of the leading piano makers of the past.

Bechstein C118

2019 10 11 05x20 18

I usually play plug-in instruments on an 88-key master keyboard, but something was missing. One day I decided to go to a piano store, but I didn't know about the real piano.About 100 different models have been published. The vendor kindly gave me the freedom to try the piano in different spaces and rooms throughout the afternoon.

Suddenly, I fell in love with the sound of a used C. Bechstein C2010 manufactured in 118.My ignorance shocked the vendor because I didn't know about the piano brand C. Bechstein.I also love the sound of this felt piano. I recorded this sound with a pair of AKG 414.

There is only one sound layer and release noise. In my first experience with sampling, the results at Kontakt were very surprising: not only did it sound very interesting, but also very well when layered with another spitfire library: the British Drama Toolkit-especially the patch Strings Ensemble Long-. Match.

Nordiska Piano

2019 10 11 05x22 37

I found this wonderful place called Rosenland Gourd in southern Sweden.I and my family spent three consecutive summers at home. It's a very quiet place in the middle of a small forest. We loved every second. https://www.rosenlundsgard.com/boende-overnattning-i-ett-av-vara-hus-frascha-hus-i-vacker-miljo-husdjursfria/ Many carefully selected decorative elements in the house Was picked up as a junk in a nearby village), one of which was this upright piano (an old Swedish company "Nordiska Piano"), standing beneath a wooden staircase leading up to the second floor. rice field.I had a great deal of attachment to the sound of this (obviously not very well maintained) piano and wanted to take it home, so I decided to sample it.This is a reduced set of samples organized into a Kontakt instrument (keeping a larger version each time an individual key is sampled).Responds to the sustain pedal and comes with a separate release sample. The sample uses RX to reduce noise and the original is a huge 3 kHz file with all sustain and releases in two velocity layers. Therefore, the sample is huge and not included, but can be provided on request.Special Features: Impulse Response of Frames-In a sense, it simulates the response of a frame / soundboard excited by individual sounds.

The Lounge Piano

2019 10 11 05x26 53

I got this piano from a former colleague about 3 years ago.

It's in our lounge and is lovingly played by those who want it.

The piano is a cute upright, not old, not brand new, somewhere in between.

In most cases, keep the center pedal down. This creates a layer of felt between the hammer and the strings.

This piano was sampled at two velocities, quiet and medium.

Please enjoy this piano.

Sampling, editing, Kontakt'ed:
Ted Kocher, Anthony Caruso, Scott Bergstrom, Nick Mastroianni, Chris Rossetti and Tao-Ping Chen were held on March 2019, 3.

1911 Bechstein Upright

2019 10 11 05x30 14

This is my C. Bechstein model 1911 upright piano with serial number 101058 in 9.

I ate it from 9 pm on Tuesday, January 1973, 1, when I was 9 years old.

Earlier I asked my parents if they would be able to play the piano.I'm already a very good recorder player and have tried it for a year without actually using an acoustic guitar.Neither of my parents played an instrument, but both loved listening to music. They didn't have a real idea of what to look for on the piano, but by chance I heard an old lady in the neighboring village selling her.It turned out she was demanding £ 1 for it, which was a fair amount of money to her parents at the time-they really made it affordable and the quality of the instruments they got. They had to wonder if they were little grateful to them, said they were said to be "tropicalized" and that they should have spent part of their lives in a hotter climate. My first piano lesson was Friday, January 25, 1973 at 1:12 pm.An upright version of Steinway, with all the early lessons and about a dozen cats).

My C. Bechstein has experienced a lot of movement over the years and was completely refurbished in 2013 by Evan Hatch of Launceston, Cornwall.Today (Saturday, March 2019, 3), it's sampled for Patrick Ytting's piano book, who contacted me in the comments section of the Christian YouTube video.

Yamaha U1 (1976)

2019 10 11 05x35 21

My favorite analog vintage gear.My Yamaha U1. Purchased by my grandmother in the 1970s.My mother practiced the piano when she was a kid.
Since then, I've parked on the wall of my grandmother's house for decades.I remember when I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to touch the piano. After graduating from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, I inherited it.

The piano is in perfect condition.I decided to sample before adjusting. Sampled with 3 layers and all white keys (52 samples).
Check it out without feeling the softest patch (1 layer). That's because it really brings out the feelings (for me and for you) when you play.
I used a high quality mic through a vintage preamp and a high quality RME converter.

Wonky Piano

2019 10 11 05x45 25

I found this lonely, old (and out of tune) piano in the dusty drawing room of an abandoned Victorian mansion.
