Transistor Bass is great for TB-303 emulation

I'm yosi, the caretaker.

Image LineIs a great developer but doesn't feel like it's profitable at all.
(Maybe there are many users who don't pay because they rarely take measures against pirated editions.)

I wanted him to do his best, so I wasn't asked to do it, but I decided to do missionary work in Japan.

That's why it's abrupt, but it's a minorTransistor BassNow that I've noticed the goodness of it, I'll do my best to spread it.

Transistor BassIt was a coincidence that I realized how good it was.MASSIVEFor reference when trying to make 303 soundsTransistor BassI was using.

But anywayTransistor BassThat's a thick soundTransistor BassThe sound of is really good.

Well, the only problem is that it can only be used on FL Studio ...
(Is it fatal for people who do not use FL Studio?)

I write that it is sometimes necessary to write articles with such low demand.

The introduction has become longer, but please watch the video.

If you like 303, take a look at this!

I bought it at the beginning of the release after watching the above video, but I wasn't sure how to use it, so I left it alone.

I will explain how to use it without permission, even if there are people who are similarly worried after reflecting on it.

How to use Transistor Bass

First, the officialClick here for the manual.

Transistor BassThere are 2 patterns of operation method.

One isBuilt-in sequencer, The other is as usualPiano roll.

The change method can be changed by turning the sequencer ON / OFF.

It's easy to use with the piano roll, just turn off the sequencer shown above and type in from the piano roll.

But after all, I want to type in with this sequencer.

Program structure

And the concept of presets is different from ordinary synths.
(128 programs are stored in the preset)

The program is a set of patches (setting of each parameter) and sequencer (scale information).

The following GIF changes the program, changes the sequence, and changes the patch in order from the left.

Transistor BassWhen you start, 128 programs are already loaded from C0 to G10 of the notebook. (C8 to G10 are empty)

This is where I'm most confused, and changing notes changes the program.

As a result, both the patch and the sequencer changed, and I couldn't make the phrase I wanted.

Perhaps what many people want to do is:

I think I copied the pattern of an existing sequencer, changed it a little, and played it with a different patch.

I will explain how to do it.

How to copy an existing sequencer or patch

It's hard to understand, but you can do it from the menu.

Try copying the 96 (F8) sequence and 91 (G7) patch to the free program 93 (C7).

Select the corresponding sequence and patch respectively, copy and select the original sequence and patch number and paste.

Unfortunately there seems to be no copy of the program.

How to transpose only a part

There are times when you want to change the pitch a little.

It's too much work to change the program each time.

There is a way to transpose for that.

MIDI Ch13 is a channel dedicated to transpose.

You can change the color that appears by clicking on the upper left of the piano roll.

13 skin tones here?If you change it to and type in, you can transpose only the part of that color.

13 of Ch60 is transpose 0.You can grasp the transpose at the location shown in the figure below.2019 07 04 09x29 50

I took a video.

If you buyImage LineOfficial is also good in the sense of supporting.

Summary

If you read the manual properly, that's what it is, but I think that you can use it without reading the manual.

But after allTransistor BassIs wonderful.

If I put 303 in the name, it would have raised the recognition of the world a little more.

But I think it's the result of careful consideration not to infringe on Roland's rights.

on second thoughtsImage LineA good company.
